If you built solar in the wild it would destroy the habitat by blocking sunlight even if there was room underneath. But the benefit of solar is that it can be attached to the roofs and soon the walls of buildings or on other man made structures. This means that the side of a highrise could be covered with solar.
Actually it depends on how you position the PV panels , normally they are slightly inclined during installation.
You could have solar panels installed on stilts and use the land underneath for farming etc. Its perfectly possible and doable.
The cost of installation would be high though.
Well actually solar systems and power plants dont’ actualy cause any habitat descrution. If you’re looking at this subjectively, anything you build will destroy habitat. There are intergated solar panel systems which are built on roofs of buildings, specificially to avoid land disruption. So theoretically yes, but again, any building disrupts habitat if you clear brush for example to build it.
